In this project, we have made smart shoes which can convert mechanical stress produced by our feet into electric energy. We have used piezoelectric plates for converting mechanical stress into electricity. But the current produced there is alternating current, so we converted the AC current to DC current using diode bridges. Then the current produced is stored into Power Bank which we have attached on the shoes. This kind of shoes are especially for trekkers who do not have electric connection during their treks in the forests. By just walking 3 to 4 kilometers, he/she can produce enough amount of current to charge a smartphone. We have just made a prototype now which we will be further developing. These shoes can produce upto 1 volt in a step.
